Working with building blocks

There are three types of building blocks in ECO-Engine:

Building blocks with energy zones: They form the occupied space of the building that contains one or more energy zones. Commonly a building block with energy zones can be a floor level of a building.

Outline: Used to model unoccupied spaces that are adjacent to building blocks with energy zones such as unheated adjacent spaces and roofs. Also ground surfaces adjacent to building blocks with energy zones can be modeled as outline blocks.

Shading surfaces: Any surface that cause shading in glazing can be modeled as a shading surface block.
